As part of our fundraising and our remit to be to provide a service to the village, we are about to start a our brand new Cowden Community Cafe. Everyone is warmly invited to come along. The first one will be on Friday April 4th from 10.00-12.00 and then regularly on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month.
This will be run by volunteers and is a community initiative-to bring all villagers together for a cuppa, a slice of homemade cake and a natter (not just from Cowden but, hopefully, from our beautiful surrounding villages also). If you just fancy getting out but would prefer to sit quietly, then that’s perfectly fine, too. Whatever your reason to come along, you can be assured of the warmest of welcomes. We’re hoping to place tables and chairs outside as the weather allows.

Fundraising:
Whilst this is an opportunity to meet old friends and make new friends, it is also a fund-raising opportunity. All drinks and cakes are free and, thereby, accessible to all but we are hoping that visitors will be willing to make a donation towards costs with any additional donations helping us to fund the running of the Hall.
We will have a children’s corner, with toys for little ones to play with so, hopefully, our new venture will provide parents a chance to ‘escape’ for a few hours.
As always, we need your support in order to make this a success and this is what Cowden is so good at. We all very much look forward to you joining us. So, be sure to put the dates in your diary:
